Do I scare you?

As the slowly fading light from the evening began to wear on, all around the quiet world of Los Lobos seemed to linger in the silence. Everything was calm and settled. The cool crisp air was rather chilly tonight. Even the stars shined through the darkened clouds. Bright as ever, they lit up the sky.

Silence amidst the horizon soon turned into a sharp gasp let out by a female’s voice. This was the night of the solar wind changes. Therefore, G-Money’s demonic transformations could not be controlled. He could no longer for this night hold off his demonic side. It pained him greatly for his body to take on this new form. But he was more concerned over Pain. She seemed scared of his newly coming look. His eyes turned bright crimson, and his white sclera faded to coal black. Parts of his mane began to stiffen and stick straight up in the air. Even his voice sounded raspy and evil, as if it weren’t even G-Money at all.
Pain winced at his transformation. She felt such great fear, but her natural emotions for him kept her standing there for him.

“Do I frighten you?” He asked with a hint of concern in his shaken voice.

She didn’t respond. The look on her face alone was enough to answer his question. He tried to comfort her by humming gently though his agonizing suffering. It would come in hard but quick spurts. Slicing and tearing feelings ripped though his chest and back. His jaws screamed at him every time he ground his teeth to fend off the pain. He would sway back and forth to keep himself standing through the agony.
Pain watched from a few feet away, helplessly. She couldn’t speak. She had no words that could have helped him.

She looked to him once more, fighting her fear, “I’m sorry,” she breathed. “It’s not your fault you’re like this. And here I stupidly backed away in fear from your eyes. It’s not you, you don’t scare me.”

Pain walked over to him and nuzzled his neck, trying her best to concentrate on his body rather than his eyes. He found great comfort in her close presence. Her warm breath against his cold neck helped soothe his stabbing pains that ran through him.

“Don’t leave me, please…” He asked, a hint of desperation in his tone.
She looked him in the eyes then winced slightly, but regained her dignity. “I won’t,” she replied reassuringly.
