Open Facts: Shijo is known as the emotional horse of the Near Path herd, or as the younger set prefers to call it "emo.” He is very socially backward and seems to embarrass himself in conversation quite frequently due to his random outburst and constant mood swings. Though he does seem to have a cheery personality most of the time.
-He favors neon colors, which is how he got all of his colorful sounding nicknames. He is rather fond of his nicknames that others give him, as he likes being called different things other than his given birth name. He finds little nicknames to be fun and entertaining.
-Shijo can come off being overconfident at times, but it is actually in his nature to standout, even if it’s not always in a positive manner. He tends to believe that he is a lot younger mentally than he actually is, and always seems to come off as that of a child compared to an adult horse. He just wants to be a kid and have fun.
-He tends to shout a lot, even when others are conversing quietly amongst themselves. Awkward stares and disapproving glares are something he is used to by now with his quirky mannerism. He will often just waltz up beside a group of horses and just start bantering along with them as of he was already apart of their conversation. Though he does seem to fit in with just about everyone he meets, he can come off as an annoyance.

Private facts: Shijo was raised in a very strict family that seemed to shield him from experiencing life as a child. He wasn’t allowed to have friends or go off by himself until he was much older than normal horses. By the time he was finally able to be on his own without his parents breathing down his neck, he was very socially backward and seemed very awkward around other horses, so he withdrew himself for many years without socializing amongst his own age. He felt as though he didn’t quite fit in with the others, and was picked on for being rather timid of everyone. No one bothered with him, so he just grew up being alone and different. But in his later years of life he grew into his own person and developed his quirky personality that he holds true to this very day, he won’t ever change who and how he is, and he probably doesn’t want to, he seems proud of the way he is now, but inside he just longs for the attention he never had growing up, so he tries to standout in every way possible.
-Shijo’s parents were always very insensitive to him and constantly showed their discontentment with him. Often saying that they weren’t proud of him, and that he was a failure, things a child should never have to hear, and something a parent should never say.
-His eyes are actually quite beautiful, though you can never see them due to his forelock always obscuring them from view by others. He for some reason prefers to hide them from everyone, fearing they will make fun of him, seeing as how they stand out against his darkened coat. Others made fun of him due to this reason as a young foal.
-He constantly wears his heart on his sleeve and is very easily hurt by different negative comments. This is a horse that does not do well to criticism for some reason, though you would think he wouldn’t act the way he does, as it tends to evoke rather harsh and negative comments from others. He tends to have the “better than everyone else” and “larger than life” attitude, which works as a disadvantage to his personality, he just doesn’t understand nor know how to act around others.

Character Info: Shijo is a guy that speaks his mind, but dislikes it strongly when others oppose him in any form or fashion. He believes others should automatically like his options and agree with them, which is wrong by any standards, but he just can’t seem to grasp that others matter too, and not just him.
-He cries a lot, and sulks quite often, so he’s not much of a joy to be around when like this. He is also very self-centered, if you are not talking about him or something that he is interested in, then he doesn’t much care and will often blatantly just walk away in mid conversation. Others find this to be very impolite and disrespectful.
-Quotes of Shijo often include: “Yeah whatever!” “I honestly just don’t care…” and “Hey! Listen to me!” He comes off being very immature, but again, he just doesn’t know how to act, he was never shown growing up, nor taught the right way to treat others.
-Overall Shijo is: Egotistical and very self-centered, loves to have everyone’s attention based on him and him only, does not like not getting his way, very shallow and inconsiderate of others, and very boastful about himself.
